- Tees Valley Combined Authority (the 'Contracting Authority') part of the Tees Valley Combined Authority Group are looking to procure consultancy support to conduct a feasibility study around the usage/ construction of an IoT network across the Tees Valley Region. This contract will be delivered in multiple phases. Phase 1 is a feasibility study to understand whether TVCA should invest in using or building an IoT network across the region. Should the feasibility study recommend that TVCA should invest in this, additional phases may be required under this contract including use case identification and design, procurement support, deployment support and benefits evaluation and monitoring. These additional phases are not guaranteed and are dependent on: a) TVCA internal approval to proceed including budget approval; b) the strategic decision to invest in an IoT network; and c) satisfactory Provider performance in Phase 1. If the above conditions are fulfilled, TVCA reserves the right to instruct the Provider to deliver some or all of the additional phases through a permitted contract modification under the Procurement Act 2023. This may be undertaken using an ‘permitted modification- in accordance with Section 74 and Schedule 8 of the Act, where the modification is provided for in the Contract.
