- Description:
- The Authority has a requirement for the provision of military Biomedical Scientists (BMS) Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration training pathway. The proposed framework agreement shall be for a period covering 5 intakes completing the full degree programme starting autumn 2026 in conjunction with top modules and clinical placements. The successful Service Provider shall provide an Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) accredited BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science/Healthcare Science programme and top-up modules. Clinical modules are to include Clinical Haematology, Clinical Biochemistry, Blood Transfusion and Clinical Microbiology. The Service Provider shall provide an academic programme for up to 6 new full-time student entrants per annum plus top-up modules, for additional partially qualified students, as assessed by the IBMS. The geographical considerations of this SoR and training are that the travelling time is not more than 25 miles from B20 1AP/Handsworth Wood, Birmingham either by: a. Public Transport b. Private vehicle For programmes delivered on a part time basis through distance learning and limited on site attendance this will be extended to 45 miles.
