Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) are keen to understand the market options and availability for an upcoming parts procurement for the RMBC workshop. This market engagement therefore seeks to gather any knowledge and data that potential suppliers can provide to RMBC to improve the procurement and industry updates. All costs associated with providing a response must be borne by the Supplier. RMBC will not contribute in any way to meeting the production costs of any response. No down-selection of Potential Providers will take place as a consequence of any responses to this market engagement. The current RMBC fleet is diverse, totalling almost 400 assets, comprising of vehicles and plant equipment, ranging from cars, vans and minibuses, through to large goods vehicles and specialist municipal types, such as RCV's, Road Sweepers, Gully / Jet Vac Tankers. There is also a large inventory of grounds maintenance equipment, which includes Agricultural Tractors, Trailers, Quad Bikes, Ride on Mowers, Fine Turf Equipment and hand tools such as Strimmer's, Hedge Cutters, Chainsaws and Blowers. Parts supply is integral to the workshop operation that works to achieve minimum vehicle downtime, ensuring frontline services remain effective and without disruption.
