Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Authority are publishing this Preliminary Market Engagement Notice on behalf of ourselves, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service to notify suppliers of our intentions to update and re-tender the current servicing and maintenance of Breathing Apparatus (BA) compressors contract. Details of the new contract will be contained in the tender documentation, with the tender advertised in May 2025 following the engagement event. The contract will be for the servicing and maintenance of Breathing Apparatus (BA) compressors, and where appropriate the replacement of Breathing Apparatus (BA) compressors across the three Welsh Fire and Rescue Services for those existing units which are deemed no longer viable to service/repair. Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Authority on behalf of ourselves, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, looking to put a contract in place for a 3 year period with an option to extend for a further 24 months. The contract will include the supply, installation and commissioning of replacement compressors and upgrades as and when required, replacement units to have output ranges between 200 and 600 Litres per minute, actual requirements will be determined by operational needs.
