- This requirement is for a semi-automated planar patch clamp benchtop system and associated accessories, consumables, service, and maintenance. The equipment shall be situated within the Drug Discovery Unit (DDU) research laboratory and will form part of a facility supporting a wide range of academic and translational research projects.The system will provide researchers with the ability to conduct high-fidelity, whole-cell patch clamp recordings from cells and subcellular structures, as well as support advanced pharmacological experiments with external and internal perfusion control. This technology will greatly enhance the facility-s capacity for ion channel research, mechanistic studies, and pharmacological screening.
