STRIDE ll Analysis and Impact Publication, November 2023 · The impacts of emerging global challenges, such as the COVID pandemic, climate change, food and financial crises, extreme poverty, political and economic instability, energy security, and displacement, are increasingly alarming for humanitarian organisations, thus making it extremely difficult to operate in these complex and unfavourable environments. Considering the changing humanitarian sector dynamics, Strengthening Response Capacity and Institutional Development for Excellence (STRIDE) contributes to sensitising the organisational leadership, fundraising partners, and field offices on the importance of localisation and partnerships. · Since the inception of the STRIDE programme in 2016, Islamic Relief is gradually making progress in transforming its operational model and contributing to the global localisation agenda. The investment mainly from the IR Family Member Offices (commonly known as IR Fundraising Offices) is evidence of the organisational seriousness and commitment. As a learning organisation, recommendations from the STRIDE-I review[1] (conducted by the ODI) were incorporated in the design of the STRIDE-II, along with sector and organisation-wide suggestions throughout the project-s second phase. Islamic Relief is commissioning a review study of the STRIDE-II project through this tender with the some objectives and expectations. · This study focuses on exploring and examining the complementarity and effectiveness of the project defined per the objectives section.
