Stockport Council requires a population and provision forecasting model to support strategic decision making on school place planning in the borough. The school organisation service is responsible for place/provision planning 0 years to 25 years. As well as having responsibility for a resident-s formative educational and training provision, the service also plans for provision required to up skill residents up to the age of 64 years.
The model should provide a comprehensive forecasting and reporting capability for mainstream, special schools, resource bases, and alternative provision by school place planning areas, wards and localities in Stockport
