Description : Job Title: Senior Accountant Rate of Pay: £18.53 per hour (PAYE) however open to negotiation. This role falls within IR35. Brief description: We are looking to recruit to two Senior Accountant posts within the Finance Team at Sandwell Council. This is to provide additional capacity in a number of areas. Reporting to a Principal Accountant the role includes: - • The provision of financial information • Advice and guidance to budget holders and service managers throughout the financial cycle. • Undertaking financial appraisals for capital projects with specific focus on the Towns Fund • Assisting with the implementation of new accounting standards such as IFRS 16 and a new fixed asset register system • Contributing to the production of the Statement of Accounts and provision of working papers for external auditors.
