Description : Birdproofing of the SAS13 Bridge existing flat span. The Existing Flat Span of the SAS13 Bridge is a Parallelogram in Shape on Plan, the Edge Beams are 21m Long and the Bridge is 8.4m Wide. The Bridge is supported upon 2 no. Abutments, each approximately 9m Long. Tenderers will provide a proposal to install Bird/Nesting Deterrent Measures to both the Underside of the Bridge and Abutment Shelves. It is envisaged the deterrent measures could be Netting, Spikes, Metal Strands, etc. The exact method and material may be suggested by the contractor for acceptance. The SAS13 Flat span runs above the DBP3 lines, therefore all access to the Underside of the Bridge would be via Network Rail ROTR or Possession working. All operatives will require Personal Track Safety (PTS) Accreditation as works are on-or-near the line. Tenderers will be issued a formal invitation to tender (ITT) with a pricing and submission document to complete.
