Description : This service will provide support for refugee families at all stages of Lewisham Council's Refugee Resettlement Programme, from pre-arrival planning through the first year and into years 2-5 of their support, transitioning them off the programme by the end of this period. It will work alongside the Council-s central programme management, all mainstream provision and other bespoke provision for this programme.
The service will include, but is not limited to:
— pre-arrival preparation for refugee families accepted onto the Lewisham Refugee Resettlement Programme,
— initial reception services for the refugees including ‘meet and greet- at the airport, a welcome pack and an initial orientation,
— orientation services including support to register for local health, education, ESOL and benefits services,
— ongoing support over 12 months to integrate service users into the community and to build service users- skills, moving towards independence and step-down,
— support for families stepped down through a drop-in centre.
