  • Description:
  • Tenders are invited for Qualitative Primary Research to Support the Protection of Girls and Young Women in Vulnerable Displacement Situations The study will investigate the migration choices, decision making processes and protection risks/vulnerabilities of migrant girls in, to, and through the three target countries: Libya, Tunisia, and Morocco. Also, recommendations will be provided in order to inform future interventions and activities to help ensure they are gender sensitive and give impetus to gender transformative efforts. Specifically, the aim is to look at their journeys holistically, including their decisions concerning decision to migrate, aspiration, support networks, transit trajectories, and their experiences in transit and at destination (whether temporary or permanent). As such, the study aims to conduct research in countries of origin (e.g. Senegal, Cote d-Ivoire, Nigeria and/or Niger) as well as countries of destination in Europe (e.g. Italy and Spain). The study should examine resilience and self-reliance, therefore specific attention should be paid to girls- current strategies and resources. In all the below components, the outputs should take into account gender and its intersectionality with age, gender, ethnicity and race, sexual orientation and disability and the likely differences in experiences of boys and girls, risks and needs of younger girls, adolescents and youth.
