- Project Description: The requirement is for Network Rail to appoint an experienced drug and alcohol testing provider to provide a fully managed end-to-end solution for the service to include, overall governance, scheduling, sample collection and couriering, laboratory analysis and Medical Review Officer (MRO), reporting of results, contract management, management information, audit, quality management and assurance, updating Sentinel or an equivalent database with outcome results, and medication advice line. The Supplier will be required to provide drugs and alcohol testing services, as per Network Rail`s Drugs and Alcohol Standard (NR/L/OHS/00120) to deliver: • Annual Random (unannounced) D&A testing programme • For-cause and post incident/accident D&A testing • Drug & Alcohol Support Programme (DASP) active monitoring testing • Supply of POCT (Point of Care Testing) kits with MRO service • Test the Tester for Network Rail Occupational Health Service employee testers • Medication advice line • Laboratory confirmatory analysis
