- The DVLA hereby publish this future opportunity notice the Provision of Provision of Design, Supply, and Installation of Fuel Interceptor System. The estimated value of the contract is cĀ£250,000. The service provider will operate on behalf of DVLA and will be accountable to DVLA for delivery of works within the terms of the contract. The contract term will be for 12 months with the option to extend for a further 12 months making this contract potentially a 2-year contract agreement.
The DVLA wish to appoint a Supplier who can install pollution control measures at the Swansea site to prevent any accidentally released oil-based fluids from reaching the public storm drain. Any solution implemented must enable DVLA to comply with the Water Resources Act 1991 regulations.
The DVLA would like to receive proposals for the following:
- Installation of interceptor/s to prevent contamination into groundwater from soak - aways and preventing contamination from exiting the main site.
- Installation of automatically controlled and monitored (BMS) Penstock (gate valve) on the outgoing storm pipework to prevent contaminated flows exiting the main site.
- Installation of control and monitoring equipment to enhance the management of the storm water draining systems.
