- The General Dental Council (GDC) is undertaking a Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) exercise to inform a future procurement for SAP licences and associated support services. The purpose of this PME is to engage with the market at an early stage to gather information that will support the development of a robust, proportionate, and future-proof set of requirements. This exercise will help the GDC better understand current market capabilities, commercial models, service offerings, and emerging innovations related to SAP licensing and support. Specifically, the PME aims to: Gain insight into available SAP licensing models, including options for optimising license usage and managing costs. Understand the range of SAP support services available, including maintenance, upgrades, managed services, and technical support. Explore innovations and new developments in the SAP ecosystem, such as automation and enhanced support tools. This PME is conducted solely for information gathering purposes. Participation in this exercise will not form part of any future evaluation or selection process, and it will not confer any advantage or disadvantage in any subsequent procurement. Any information provided will be used to help shape the scope, specification, and commercial approach of a future compliant procurement exercise.
