Washer Disinfectors, 4no. Sterilisers, 3no. Steam-Steam generators currently installed in the Hospital Sterilisation and Decontamination Unit (HSDU) at Antrim Area Hospital with 7no. new Uniclean PL II 15 Washer Disinfectors, 4no. Selectomat PL 969-1HR (9StU) Steam Sterilisers and 3no. Duotherm II D12 Adjacent Steam-Steam Generators. It is also the intention of the NHSCT to upgrade the existing water purification plant in its entirety in accordance with the current guidance outlined in Health Technical Memorandum 01-01 Decontamination of surgical instruments Parts (a) to (e) and provide minor refurbishment within the HSDU to improve workflow. As part of the project, the above involves the refurbishment of various areas requiring building, electrical and mechanical works.
