Description:
Project Description: The MHC Block 2 UUV requirement forms a key part of the MHC Mission System and will be used operationally to Detect, Classify and Localise mines on the seabed to a minimum of 200 metres, launched and recovered from an Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV). It will be required, as a minimum, to conduct mine hunting missions and to carry out route surveying. The MHC Block 2 UUV is an integral part of the first phase of MHC Block 2 equipment deliveries, referred to as the Minimum Deployable Capability, and this procurement will equip all 6 squadrons of the Royal Navy`s Mine Threat Exploitation Group (MTXG). *** Update - 22nd January 2026 *** Following the completion of the PSQ assessments in December 2025, The Authority has down-selected 4 Tenderers from the 10 Potential Providers.
