- This procurement covers the provision of renewals and certain enhancements works on the Metrolink & Rail networks, and other works applicable to TfGM owned and/or managed infrastructure. TfGM are exploring options to procure a contracting partner or partners to meet the on-going demands of renewing and enhancing the Metrolink Network into the future funding cycle. The overriding objective of the new delivery model is to enable TfGM to deliver Metrolink & Rail renewals and enhancements as well as other schemes, in the most efficient manner from a time, cost and quality perspective. The purpose of this Market Engagement exercise is to determine market interest to inform how best to procure a contracting partner or partners to meet the programme objectives: • To determine the capabilities in the market for the intended scope of the renewal and enhancement programme; • To determine the capacity in the market to meet the intended renewal & enhancements programme • The key objectives for a new delivery model are therefore to simplify the route to market, noting the relatively tight time pressures in what is necessarily a significantly reactive capital space, and a more straightforward way of coordinating network access.
