• This commissioned work will deliver a focused 4-6-week ‘groundwork sprint- to produce an internal document resource that will support very senior strategists and planners in government departments to incorporate and embrace the influence local government can bring to achieving the 3 left-shifts in the 10-year Health Plan via investment in digital technology. Expertise is located in the LGA-s Policy Team, Digital & Data function, and Partners in Care and Health (Social Care) as well as Public Health specialists. Drawing on the expertise of all of these teams, the aim is to clarify what the LGA needs to take into early engagement with the incoming DHSC Director General for Digital Technology and others. Its purpose is to build the foundations for the LGA-s strategic positioning, ensuring we are evidence ready, aligned across partners, and equipped with a strong, coherent narrative before approaching DHSC. The sprint will map existing evidence, identify critical gaps, and synthesise what the LGA and partners already know about local government-s role in shaping health, social care and community wellbeing outcomes. It will consolidate sector insight to create a validated collective local government voice informed by ADASS, Socitm, LOTI, Solace, DSCAG, iNetwork and others.
