- Kettering General Hospital seeks to appoint an independent NEC Supervisor consultant service, that will act in accordance with NEC4 ECC, providing independent inspection, monitoring & certification of the works to ensure compliance with: • The Works Information • Contract requirements • Statutory approvals • Relevant healthcare technical standards (HTMs/ HBNs) agreed with MMC and BREEAM targets, infection control and fire safety regulations, etc. Contracting Authority Objective The Contracting Authority is seeking to procure MEP and Building Structure/Fabric NEC supervisor services for the Rockingham Wing Extension to: • Ensure that the contractor satisfies the quality standards set in the works information • Have a regular presence on site, providing independent scrutiny of the works, ensuring the correct materials are used and to the correct standards. • Have foresight, to enable identification of issues/potential issues and prevent them from occurring. • Have the authority to issue instructions to search for defects and be specifically responsible for issuing Defects Certificates. • Witness any testing • Attend progress meetings • Issue communications as per the requirements of the contract. • Have the right attitude which should be team-spirited, proactive and systematic.
