Abstract: Public Sector Internal Audit Standards require Internal Audit to provide “an annual Internal Audit opinion and report that can be used by the organisation to inform its governance statement”. This opinion will take the form of a narrative summarising relevant strengths and weaknesses and their implications. The Internal Audit opinion is a key element of the framework of assurance that the Accounting Officer needs to inform his completion of the Governance Statement. The annual programme of work must be planned and executed, and the findings reported in accordance with the Public Sector Internal Audit Standards.We are looking to award a framework to deliver Internal Audit Services until 30 April 2024 with an option to extend up to 12 months.
