Description:
This Preliminary Market Engagement Notice is placed to inform the market of the Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) for NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG), Somerset and Devon (the Commissioner's), intention to recommission Healthcare Waste Collection in Primary Care and Community Pharmacy. The Commissioner would like to understand the level of provider interest in delivering these services and requests feedback from experienced organisations using a Market Engagement Questionnaire. The service will provide a Primary Care and pharmacy medical waste collection and disposal/recycling for the 3 ICBs in the South West; •NHS Devon ICB •NHS Somerset ICB •NHS Bristol, North Somerset & South Gloucestershire ICB These 3 ICBs are looking to re-procure in the near future (anticipated to be tendered in May-June 2025), all of their current contracts for Primary Care Clinical Waste Collection and disposal/recycling predominantly and Community Pharmacy. The intended service for tender include: 1. Collection & transport of clinical waste and pharmaceutical waste 2. Storage of clinical waste and pharmaceutical waste 3. Treatment of clinical waste and pharmaceutical waste 4. Incineration of clinical waste and pharmaceutical waste 5.
