Description:
The Council currently has an existing Framework to run the Structural Maintenance and Road Treatment services which runs from October 2020 to September 2026. It is considered advantageous to maintain this form of contract. However, the Council is seeking to promote a greater degree of recycling within its Highways works and successful tenderers may be required to collaborate with the Council and their other Contractors for recycling materials within Highways works. As such the Council has provisionally scoped for the Structural Maintenance and Resurfacing Treatments Framework as laid out in Section 4 of the PME Document. The Council's vision is to work with its service providers to evolve the Highways Service to deliver Best Value for Hertfordshire throughout the duration of the various contracts. This market engagement exercise represents the first stage of the pre-procurement process, aiming to achieve the following: • Determine market interest in this framework, • Help define and refine the scope, and • Identify whether it is beneficial to apportion the work across the individual lots Please refer to the PME Document for full details. The Council is carrying out PME in relation to this project. The Council will consider the feedback received to help inform the Council's options, requirements and further decision making.
