Abstract: Sellafield Limited is currently preparing to initiate a procurement process for nuclear diving services within the Pile Fuel Storage Pond (PFSP) at Sellafield site. The Pile Fuel Storage Pond (PFSP) is a legacy facility constructed in the late 1940s to provide underwater storage, cooling and decanning of irradiated nuclear fuel and isotopes. The facility consists of the main pond structure and an additional 12 bays. On the successful completion of the current Nuclear Diving Pilot to clear 2 of the bays, it has been identified that a new future diving capability is required to support clearance of the remaining bays and main pond structure .The pre-market engagement with interested suppliers is to investigate the capability and capacity of the supply chain. This information and knowledge will inform the final acquisition strategy for the procurement.
