Abstract: Suffolk County Council is undertaking Market Engagement prior to conducting a procurement exercise for the award of a contract to provide a dedicated therapy service within a commissioned bed-based model, working alongside social services and the nursing/care team in Ipswich.There will be an expectation that anybody admitted to a D2A bed within this model will have access to the therapy service which will: Provide a dedicated therapy service consisting of HCPC registered physiotherapists, occupational therapists and therapy assistants who have experience of working with older adults, some of whom will have complex needs and multiple co-morbidities. Work with people using an asset-based approach, building on their strengths and agreeing reablement goals for individuals.
