Abstract: Continuity of Out of Hours dental service provision is fundamental to ensure that the oral health needs of the population in these areas are met within the East of England and must be Dental Practitioner Led and provided by GDPs, dental nurses and other clinical professionals.The successful Provider(s) will be expected to:• Provide primary care dental services which will be accessible, convenient and responsive.• Design services around the needs of patients and carers, ensuring they are offered more choice and a greater say in their treatment.• Reduce unplanned admissions to hospital.• Ensure the opening hours will enable patients to seek urgent and unscheduled, face to face treatment from a GDP outside normal practice hours.
