Abstract: Rhonnda Cynon Taff CBC are seeking expressions of interest from suitable providers who are able to deliver a ‘Carer's Respite Service- for disabled children.Our current contract will expire at the end of September 2023 and the Council will look to enter into a new contract, following a procurement process thereafter.Our goal is to ensure that disabled children have the same opportunities in life as their non-disabled peers, a service that will enable them to access community services and be supported to make and meet friends, connect with their community and access new opportunities whilst developing their independent skills. The delivery of the Services will contribute to the Wellbeing Outcomes that the Local Authority is required to meet under the Social Services & Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014The service would provide:-Caring for the child within their own home whilst the parent/carer is outside of the home.-Deliver a quality service that support to the individual to enable them to achieve the identified outcome in line with the care and support plan by appropriately trained staff-Support the child to access activities in the community-Supporting paren...
