- Project Description: The UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to invite companies to participate in Early Market Engagement for the potential procurement of a new Freight Handling Facility at RAF Brize Norton. As Defence`s primary Air Mobility (AM) base, RAF Brize Norton plays a critical role in supporting global operations. The MOD is committed to modernising the station`s enabling functions to meet the high demand outlined in Defence Strategic Direction (DSD), with the Airport of Embarkation (APOE) remaining central to its mission. To develop a robust and well-informed procurement strategy, the Authority seeks to engage with suppliers through this RFI. The aim is to gather industry insights on equipment, construction solutions, and potential procurement options to deliver the full requirement. To support this process, the Authority has provided an updated Requirement Summary and a set of targeted questions. All interested parties are encouraged to respond, offering valuable input to help the Authority evaluate the feasibility of the proposed approaches. Please note the deadline: all RFI submissions must be provided to the Authority by 18:00 GMT on 2 March 2026. Please contact the Authority at your earliest opportunity should you encounter challenges with your submission. This RFI is issued without a call for competition and does not constitute a commitment to proceed with procurement.
