Description:
Transport for London (TfL) is issuing a preliminary market engagement notice to obtain market feedback in relation to the Traffic Data Collection Services Framework by issuing a Market Sounding Questionnaire (MSQ). The primary focus of the MSQ is to better understand the market, supplier appetite, capacity, and capability, as well as perceived risks and opportunities. The engagement will also provide feedback and help to develop the lotting strategy for the framework. The purpose of the framework is to support the area within TfL, by allowing services to be competed through the framework, ensuring value for money for TfL. TfL envisage that the framework will be a standard framework with a duration of 3 years with an option to extend for a further year, however this could change following feedback from the market and TfL reserve the right to change our procurement approach. TFL Consider that the Framework for Traffic Data Collection Services will consist of following four (4) lots (these are subject to change following response from the MSQ): Temporary Traffic Counting Surveys - TfL requires highly accurate counts of vehicles (split by vehicle classification such as HGV's, Buses, Cars...), pedestrians, and cyclists utilising data from remote sensors or manual enumerators (for short term deployment) providing timely intelligence to support TfL business decisions.
