- The Equality Act requires schools to actively deal with inequality and to prevent discrimination against people with a disability. Appropriate equipment and adaptations play a critical role in supporting children and young people to participate and meet their educational ambitions..From an initial entry point, the Council has already established a Flexible Framework of contractors from whom we can seek bespoke solutions for Equipment and Adaptations, primarily for children with Additional Support Needs (ASN) for use within their education settings..This award procedure is being carried out in accordance with the Procurement Reform (Scotland) Act 2014 and follows guidance for the procurement of care and support services. The framework will be continuously open (flexible) to consider new applicants until the maximum end date of 31st January 2026.
