Description : Wakefield Council is looking to appoint an experienced and qualified resource to be theSupervisor (as per NEC4) with substantial delegated powers from the Project Manager tomanage the on-site construction works for the above schemes through to final accountstage.The proposed Newton Bar Roundabout Improvement scheme comprises a major junctionimprovement of an existing roundabout and approach roads.It involves the construction of a new signalised roundabout with through-lanes, additionalapproach traffic lanes, upgrade of the adjacent signal controlled junction, and the provisionof shared cycle/pedestrian footways, signalised pedestrian/cycle crossings, improveddrainage provision, and the extension of an existing bus lane along the corridor.The Castleford Growth Corridor is part of the objective to improve the urban environment byenhancing the public realm in Castleford centre around the Lock Lane Gateway along withsubstantial highway improvements including carriageway widening, signal controlledjunctions and improved crossing facilities for pedestrians as part of the area regenerationbeing undertaken by the authority in Castleford, along Wheldon Road, Wheldale, FerryFryston and Ferry Fryston.This functio...
