Description : Conservation of eight major pieces of artwork of national significance.* All require examination, but required work could include:• Onsite visit to inspect artwork (Essential prior to quotes being submitted)• Surface cleaning to remove ingrained dirt.• Removal of patchy varnish and poor-quality retouching• Removal of heavy, glossy varnish.• Make good old repair works.• Removal of leaching and treatment in those areas, followed by retouching previous damage as necessary. • May require varnishing with a non-yellowing varnish for future protection. • Each frame will require cleaning.• Some frames will require replacement of lost plaster work.• Canvas retention.Important note: We will only be accepting proposals from providers who are registered with "Icon" - Conservation Register
