- The Founding NHS Trusts seek a commercial partner to establish an innovative company to design, build, commission, and operate a purpose-built MHRA-licensed aseptic manufacturing facility serving the West Midlands region. The Founding NHS Trusts would be an associate having significant control. This partnership will address critical regional infrastructure challenges where aging NHS facilities require significant capital investment. The model would seek to leverage commercial capital (£20 million+) and operational expertise while maintaining NHS clinical governance and providing founding trusts with at-cost services. Chemotherapy and cytotoxic preparations CIVAS (Centralised Intravenous Additive Services) OPAT (Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy) Non-cytotoxic monoclonal antibodies Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) Other sterile preparations (intrathecal, intra-articular, epidural, ophthalmic) Excluded: Radiopharmaceuticals, Clinical trial/IMP preparation The Founding NHS Trusts intend to conduct Preliminary Market Engagement following publication of this notice and prior to publishing the Tender Notice.
