Scotland-s festivals contribute hugely to the economy and the cultural life of the nation. Scottish Government, working with festivals through the Strategic Partnership for Scotland-s Art Festivals, are seeking innovative solutions to aid the problem of Scottish performers, people and places being priced out of Scotland-s festivals.This challenge will focus on the development of innovative solution to the infrastructure problem facing festivals across Scotland. Scotland is home to over 200 festivals, with the common problem of increasing costs for performers, locals and tourists due to fragmented transport and accommodation availability at times when a mass of people come together in a short time.
