Background First Greater Western Limited, trading as "Great Western Railway" (GWR), provides high speed, commuter, regional and branch line train services. We help over 100 million passengers reach their destinations every year - across South Wales, the West Country, the Cotswolds, and large parts of Southern England. Find out more here: https://www.gwr.com/about-us GWR are seeking a supplier to supply and install Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) devices/units and systems across the GWR 165 & 166 fleet (16X). This will be a 5-year programme of supply and installation with the aim to enhance passenger and staff safety and security. GWR are seeking suppliers of labour competent to renew or upgrade the 16X CCTV system consisting of: • 20 X 165 two Car units, • 16 X 165 three car units and • 21 X 166 three car units. These vehicles currently have a Petards CCTV system installed. Diagrams showing the current layout of the 16X fleet and CCTV systems are available on request. It is the expectation the system will fit into these positions. GWR want to hear back from interested suppliers and would welcome on-site presentations from suppliers. Further details in this notice.
