Description:
To provide National Framework for all participating authorities for the local storage, collection / transportation, central storage, degassing and disposal of Nitrous Oxide gas and cannisters. Service Objective: To provide a compliant, efficient, and environmentally responsible service for secure storage, safe transfer, and legal disposal of seized nitrous oxide canisters, contents and containers, ensuring alignment with UK legal frameworks and environmental regulations. Service Scope The Framework is broken down into 4 separate Lots to allow for partial services to be contracted for as applicable for each participating contracting authority. These 4 main Lots are: - Lot 1 - Full Service (End to End Provision of Facilities and Services for Collection, Transportation, Storage and Disposal of Full, Partially discharged, Nominally empty and Empty Nitrous Oxide Canisters). Lot 2 - Transportation and Storage (Provision of Collection, Transportation and Storage Facilities for Full, Partially discharged, Nominally Empty and Empty Nitrous Oxide Canisters). Lot 3 - Collection, Transportation to Supplier Facility, of Partially discharged, Nominally empty Nitrous Oxide Canisters. Canisters are to be either: Degassing Canisters and where applicable valve removal. Disposal of Empty Canisters , or; Disposal by Incineration of Nitrous Oxide Gas and Canisters.
