Description : Welsh Government is seeking expressions of interest from specialist suppliers to provide support in its delivery of a 5G programme which will deliver a commercial network alongside a series of trial services in Blaenau Gwent and Monmouthshire.
Welsh Government is delivering a 5G Rural Connected Communities programme between October 2020 through to end of March 2022 with funding via the DCMS Testbeds and Trials Programme. The programme involves a consortium working together to deliver a series of trial services across a range of sectors. The consortium is a blend of private sector, academia and public sector organisations.
The key services required are:
1) solutions architecture,
2) benefits case modelling, and
3) design and systems integration.
Suppliers should have direct commercial experience and expertise in:
— direct design and deployment experience of 4G or 5G networks;
— designing, developing and deploying business or consumer services across 4G or 5G networks;
— providing solutions architecture services across a multi supplier programme involving sensors, devices, software services and security;
